I've been working with a technical book author the last couple of years or so.  I've been designing book covers for him so he can focus on what he does best - writing technical books!.  It occurred to me recently that maybe I could be of use to others that don't want the hassle of dealing with the templates, photoshop, pdf creation, and the layout.  I'll even make you some thumbnails for posting on your website if that's something you need.

Now I'd like to say up front that I'm not a trained graphic designer.  I'm an electrical engineer.  I have, however, been using photoshop for over ten years and have enjoyed puting together graphic designs for web sites and the book covers I show below.  I believe I've built my lack of training into the price because according to my current customer, I'm extremely reasonable. 

What's the price?  A flat rate of $200!  That presupposes that you sort of have an idea of what you want.  I'm willing to work up a couple of ideas for you but obviously I can't keep generating concepts forever at that price.  So if you are reasonable so am I!

Many design houses charge well into the hundreds if not thousands of dollars for the full suite of services.  I, however, am just me and my computer and a whole lot of persistence to get it done in a reasonable time frame.
