Isupposedly made a mistake on my tax return I had done on line and mistakenly put I had zero wages on my 2007 taxs. I never hit the submit key but it went through without my knowing. I had a professional do my taxs and I owe the state 51.00 and got a federal refund but they say I will not get a stimulus check . I want to know why that is when I worked all year and the mistake was fixed, and I got a federal refund. This whole government crap has all kinds of loop holes we have to jump through and still get screwed

This whole thing is a joke!! OOOH I am suppose to get excited to recieve free money-NOOO it’s about time. Bush recieves money every time gas is put into a vehicle. We are getting ripped off people. Please tell me I am not the only one seeing this? These checks will pay off his daughters wedding exspenses. Please get real. I’ll tell the truth!!!!!

Finally, my check is showing up on the IRS site. I suppose it’s true that if you had to pay last year, you’re on the paper check schedule. I just wonder now if June 6 is really the date? They were a week ahead for the electronic transfers. Oh well, I’ll know very soon!

I’m in this same situation. The schedule says I should have recieved my payment by now but it hasn’t arrived. Apparently if you owed taxes for 2007 (like me) you’ll be on the paper check schedule. Even if you indicated (like me) that you’d like it direct deposited. Also, if you told Turbo Tax to deduct their fee from you tax return you’ll be on the paper schedule. I also read that if you took out any sort of loan agains your 2007 tax refund you’ll be on the paper schedule. The paper checks started going out May 16th according to the published schedule. If you date has come and gone on the paper schedule, I’m not sure what you’re suppose to do. Apparently, the people you call at the IRS aren’t much help in knowing when you’ll get you check.

I’m not an accountant so I don’t know how most of this stuff works but I did hear that issues on your 2007 tax return could delay your refund as well as your stimulous check. I’ve heard of cases where the mistake was simply taken out or added to your refund. If this was done in a timely manner by the IRS you may get your stimulous check at the normally scheduled time. If not, you could be forced into the mailing scenario which is closer to July.
